Services to Our Community

United Methodist Men Support Efforts

The United Methodist Men generously support the Loving Hands Daycare Center in Laurie throughout the year with project labor and financial contributions.

Care Corp—Our Sending Ministry

Care Corp was established to support our membership by providing transportation, meals and caring support to our members in need. Our monthly Care Corp Captains organize our many Good Samaritans to make sure that our members’ needs are met.

Christmas Gifts to Families

Ozark Chapel "adopts" several less fortunate families at Christmas time so that we can help them by providing toys, clothing and food.

"Trunk or Treat"

All children in the Westlake area are invited to Ozark Chapel on Halloween night to "trick or treat" our members in the parking lot of the church. Our members have been known to decorate their cars and dress in costume as they hand out candy from the trunk of their cars.

Vacation Bible School

Ozark Chapel holds Vacation Bible School Monday through Friday mornings during the first week of August. All children in the community are invited to attend this event.

Laurie Care Center / The Knolls

Ozark Chapel is in regular rotation to provide Sunday worship services at 2:00 p.m. at Laurie Care Center and The Knolls. Our Pastor is also available to call on residents as needed.

Community for Christ

Ozark Chapel supports Community for Christ through financial contributions and volunteer support. Community for Christ, a thrift shop and needy family support center, is located on Highway 5 between Laurie and Sunrise Beach, and is open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Shoe Ministry

Ozark Chapel and the United Methodist Men provide shoes to school age children within our community.

*Girl Scout Troops 197 and 968 from age 6 and up. The Girl Scout program helps build girls of character, courage and leadership.

Ozark Chapel also hosts the traditional Boy Scout Troop 138 for boys 11 years of age and older. The traditional Boy Scout program uses outdoor activities to build boys into better citizens and leaders.
