 Ozark Chapel Mission Team

Mission Statement: The mission of the Mission Team is to serve as an open, accessible and friendly window to those in need. We receive the love of God through Christ, our Lord, and are nurtured in the Word. We reflect His light and love through service to all people in our community, nation and world.

 Procedures:

1.)        The mission team shall consist of at least six (6) members including the chair, co-chair and secretary.

2.)        Meetings will be held on the third Monday of the month March through November at 6:00 pm at the church.

3.)        The team will prepare budget requests as instructed for finance committee consideration for local, national and worldwide support.

            A.)       Local support has included:      

                        1. Community Vacation Bible School

                        2. Spirit FM Radio

                        3. Westside Senior Center

                        4. School supplies or other school related  items for

                            Camden and /or Morgan County Elementary Schools

                        5. Support for families in need  

                        6. Annual mitten tree

            B.)       National support has included:

                        1. 12 Baskets of Blessings-Mid Missouri Food Bank

                        2. Festival of Sharing

                        3. Promotion of Special Sundays with Offerings

                                    a. Human Relations Sunday

                                    b. One Great Hour of Sharing

                                    c. Native American Ministries Sunday

                                    d. Peace with Justice Sunday

                                    e. World Communion Sunday

                                    f. Christian Education Sunday

            C.)       Worldwide support:

                        1. Mozambique- Pastor Xavier Murure and Mapinhane UMC

                        2. Missionary in Brazil- John Kerstetter Family
