United Methodist Men

Purpose of the United Methodist Men

On December 2, 1985 Ozark Chapel United Methodist Men were officially chartered by the General Commission of Methodist Men. From seven founding members, United Methodist Men has grown to a membership of fifty-five. Along with the purpose and objectives set down by the General Commission, the men of Ozark Chapel are devoted to serve God by being of service to all His people. We work together with all work areas of the church to be of service when a need arises. We have formed Project H.E.L.P. (Help Elevate Lives of People). We are there for all members of the church as well as people in the community. We feel no job is too small or large, and with God's help, it will be done. Through fund raising projects throughout the year, we provide for outreach programs for those in need. United Methodist Men meets the second Thursday of the month. A Fellowship time begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by Dinner at 6:00 p.m. After dinner there is a program and business meeting. All men of the church are welcome. We invite you to join us in doing the Lord's work.

Stewardship

A Christian Steward Is Grateful

Christian stewards value what has been entrusted to their care and protect and preserve everything as if it were their own, yet acknowledging that the earth and all that is in it belong to God (Psalm 24; Psalm 92:1-4; Luke 16:19-31; Philippians 4:6).

It is good to give thanks to the LORD,
To sing praises to your name.
O Most High;
To declare your steadfast love in the morning,
And your faithfulness by night (Psalm 92:1-2).

The stewardship excitement is catching hold. Members are committing their time and talents to serve on committees that are new to them. Take time to be a grateful steward.

Committiee on Evangelism

The mission of the United Methodist Church is to make disiples of Jesus Christ.

In fulfilling the mission, the Committee on Evangelism at Ozark Chapel reaches out to people in the name of Jesus Christ, to relate people to God to nuture and strengthen them in their journey of discipleship, and to send them into the world to be the church in inviting and receiving others in the name of Jesus Christ.
